1. Having a monitoring system to help keep track of activities, and also act as a checklist to ensure each activity is being done in accordance with the proposed outcome. Having consistent feedback about the activities and the actions taken, and the results can also help in controlling activities. If the outcome is not as it should be, it then means the actions being done are not having a positive effect on the plan and needs to be changed or excluded (Cargill, 2016).

1) Supervising, supporting and motivating the people of the organisation to ensure tasks are undertaken. Supervisind and supporting is very important. Because if the staff is not being monitored or given assistance when needed the operation plan will fail. Also if staff is not motivated to do their tasks they will not complete them on time or complete it at all.

1. Operations managers can control activities when implementing operational plans by "supervising, supporting and motivating the people of the organisation to ensure tasks are undertaken" by doing this they can ensure that the staff is performing as expected, some persons work better if they are constantly motivated and assured that their efforts are appreciated, this in turn makes workers perform at their best capacity. Another way in which managers can control activities is by "Investigating on a regular basis of what has been achieved, and what has not" by doing this managers do not risk passing deadlines for tasks, regular monitoring can also detect or prevent a bottleneck where it seems there may be one(Isaac, 2016).
